Here is a little information about me...
This is my third year here at The Island School. I graduated from Saint Leo University (Gainesville Campus) in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education and an endorsement in ESOL and Reading. I have recently earned my gifted endorsement. As a native of the island and a teacher I couldn't be in a better place then here at The Island School.

The Island School has adopted Project Child which reinforces some of the key beliefs outlined in our charter.  Project child will enhance our curriculum and enrich the way that we learn as a team.  Our rooms look amazing with all of the new materials and I have been hard at work planning a rigorous and engaging curriculum.

Visit the Project Child website to learn more about the program:

As always please feel free to email me directly with any questions or concerns you may have at tismelissa@comcast.net.
